Charity workers fear road is not safe for pick-ups
A charity feels a road is so dangerous it can no longer pick up one of its disabled clients directly from her home. Cerebral Palsy Care cannot take wheelchair user Kathleen Gaymer from her home on the B2000 at Cliffe Woods because of lorries thundering past. Its minibus now has to pick her up 25 yards around the corner because it is too risky to park on the main road. |

Kids have fun at mask-making day
KIDS had a monster time when they signed up for a summer workshop at Riverside Country Park. Twenty-five youngsters aged three to 10 attended the monster mask-making event. Darren Sweeting, ranger at the park, in Lower Rainham Road, Gillingham, said: "It went really well and the event was fully-booked, like many of our other events." Numerous activities are taking place at Riverside Country Park and Capstone Farm Country Park throughout the summer holidays. Neighbours have say on park's future
PEOPLE were invited to give their views on improvements to a public open space. Residents living near the Copperfields open space in Breton Road, Rochester, looked over plans for the site and spoke to planning officers from Medway Council and the Groundwork Kent and Medway organisation. |
